Picnic Day

Today was Picnic Day at UCDavis...BIG event here.
There is stuff to do all over the entire campus.
This morning we went with our friend Nicholas Hall and had some fun.
They raced up a climbing wall at the Army booth.About here Ian's glasses almost fell off so he fell behind. We ate free popcorn, tasted UCD olive oil and olives.
We saw huge walking sticks, cockroaches, marching bands in the parade, helicopters, sheep hearding dogs. It was fun.
Quintin was so pooped when we got home he fell asleep sitting up...
even though he'd slept through almost the whole thing already! He's so cute!

Wonder

What causes my look of wonder you ask?

Well, grandmas made a generous donation to our budget
so Mommy went and found this FANTASTIC rain forest to keep in my crib!
There's a monkey, frog, parrot, butterfly and moving fronds! I LOVE watching things that move and make noise, so this is the most entertaining thing in the house besides Daddy!
Lucky thing Mommy asked around at the store because the only kind they had displayed were wind-up and only lasted 30 seconds. What a waste that would have been. Who knows why they hide the good long lasting ones in the toy aisle?

Me again...can I just say what a delight it is to get distracted with stuff and then look down and once again be surprised to have this amazing little boy in my arms.
What a great treat every time!
I love him so much!

I got to go to a sealing in the temple yesterday of a wonderful couple being sealed to their 2nd adopted son.
Oh, how sweet it was.
I am so grateful that the Lord blessed us with a son and
to know that my family will be together forever.

Growth

Here's a picture of Quintin at 1 week in the basinet
we (mostly Grandma/pa Skinner) made for him.
Here's a picture of him at 15 weeks (3 1/2 months).Well, can you tell he's grown a little?
I think he's a full head longer than he was back then.
I think his head is twice as big, too!

The Early Bird Gets the Worm

So I decided yesterday that instead of trying to sleep in (and failing) I would get up at my workday times and see how much I could get done, then try to sneak a nap in later. Wow! I was ready and pumped by 9:30, the laundry was done by noon and Quintin was fed, rested and happy to boot! I guess this is the way to go!
Plus I get to see adorable things like this, I wish you could see the little roll Quintin's body makes with every breath Ian takes.
Here are some of the latest pictures of our boy.

Look at that pudgy leg sticking out! Don't you just want to pinch it?
Love that hair!He's starting to get bald spots on the back...that's going to look great :{
Adorable toes!
These adorable feet are already pushing out of 3-6 month clothing!
And he's already in size 3 diapers!
