Update and REALLY good news

Well, it's been a few months and our background check still hasn't come from Washington. Although we could be really frustrated I really feel like the Lord is in charge, because about two weeks after the mad rush to get ready for C & D we found out I was pregnant. Now two months later it's been confirmed as a REAL pregnancy and I have a healthy baby so far. C & D are still with the same foster family and it looks like it's going to stick, so that's good news for them.

Now's the part you're all going to be jealous about...I have to stick MYSELF with a needle every morning for the rest of the pregnancy to medicate and stop the clotting that caused me to lose Andrew. Hopefully we won't lose any more babies. I have to do my shots in the abdomen and they are blood thinners...so that leads to more bruising and bleeding, yeah! I'm more than willing to show off my colorful belly 'cause I feel the need to whine about it. I am tremendously greatful that there is a simple treatment for this, but at the same time, whaaaa! I keep joking with Ian about how jealous he is that I have to do all this and he doesn't, :). I had to move to maternity clothes early because my belly is so tender, I felt rather silly. At that point it was kind of hard to hide it from the rather observant people I spend time with!

So, yeah happy news! We hope everything continues to run smoothly. We passed 12 weeks which is when my troubles started with Andrew, so that's a good sign!

Bonnie and Ian! What wonderful, exciting news! I am so sorry that you have to give yourself shots everyday (and I think you are entitled to express the discomfort as much as you want!)-I'm sure they explained this to you- but I imagine that your alternating the places throughout your belly? At the hopital I saw a patient who had developed this rather large bump on his belly because he injected his heprin shot in just the same place (to avoid bruising/tenderness in other areas)... (i hope that didn't make your more nervous) But the other side is that you will be able to have a baby in a few months! How amazing the Lord is! Yeah! :)
